If something is to stay in the memory it must be burned in: only that which never ceases hurting stays in the memory.
Friedrich Nietzsche
Bravo’s austere oil on canvas achieves a remarkably mystical atmosphere through luminous, sweeping brushstrokes that appear suspended within a profound, dark void. We are deeply moved by how this ethereal, sculptural imprint masterfully evokes the layered fragility of human memory, inviting a sensitive and open contemplation of time and existence.

I was born in Mexico City and currently live and work in Washington, D.C.
Driven by a constant unease and a desire for self-knowledge and an understanding of my surroundings, I explore power dynamics from decolonial and anti-patriarchal perspectives, as well as grief and our relationship with nature.
My intention is to cultivate awareness of social and environmental justice by materializing memories, experiences, and emotions.
I use expressive abstraction as a means to promote an interpretation open to sensitivity, drawing on the symbolic resonance of form, color, texture, material, and scale, as well as the tensions generated by their juxtaposition.
